Sussex Revolution VC (SRVC) is a contemporary cycling club based in Mid Sussex formed in 2014. We are a club committed to dedicated cyclists, either experienced or looking to develop their abilities. SRVC currently competes in local road racing events, time trials as well as local and international sportives.

SRVC have an ambitious race team, currently racing across South East England in popular events such as the Goodwood Summer Series and the Surrey Cycle Racing League. In 2015 we were placed 6th in the Surrey League with 325 points. We have an ambitious race team ranging from 4th to 2nd cat, with clear progression should you desire.

SRVC run our effective Saturday training ride throughout the year, with an alternating route and split ability groups. The emphasis on much of our training is race preparation. Please see below for details.

SRVC operates regular events allowing riders to socialise off the bike. We also organise annual training camps as well as other trips abroad and locally, forming excellent teamwork and friendship. We're a club of friends firstly and we are always keen to see new faces.

Train with us

Saturday Morning

Year Round

Our renowned Saturday training rides will improve your strength and threshold. A staggered depart of 2-3 groups ranging from 20mph to 23mph over a 45 mile course with a sprint finish. This is a structured training ride rather than a social and as such we do not stop for punctures or dropped riders. Please familiarise yourself with the route, bring a phone and be prepared for punctures. We alternate between two routes, a flat route and a more hilly route, depending on conditions and what we fancy on the day. See below.

Meet: Albourne Traffic Lights

Time: 9am Every Saturday

Saturday route one

Course Record: Jan Grosicki @ 1:50:43 39.1km/h

Saturday route two

Course Record: Jan Grosicki @ 1:37:34 37.2km/h

Club Kit

Our kit is supplied by Champion Systems, a UK based company focussing on quality kit for racing. All of our members race or time trial in the club kit. Our kit visible below during the 2016 training camp.

What are the benefits in joining?

There are many, none more so than having the chance to ride as part of a team, whether it be in training or in competition. Other benefits include all year round training rides, social rides, social events, club trophies to aim for, club affiliation to racing leagues and organisations, training camps and events abroad, access to forums and communication groups offering advice and coaching, and of course, to wear the very attractive club kit.

What if I ride for another club?

If you are a first claim member of another club, then you will be very welcome on our training rides, there is no obligation to join.

The first step is to ride with us on one of our Saturday morning training rides so we can get to know each other, show you how SRVC operates and see if we fit in with your own cycling aspirations. If you are interested and plan to come along, then please read our membership policy and contact us at enquiries@sussexrevolution.co.uk. We look forward to riding with you!
